Christmas at The Essex Care Group

With Christmas just around the corner, many of us are looking forward to spending time with our family, friends and loved ones. Christmas has always been a holiday synonymous with community and care: a time for catch-ups, local events, and community spirit. This Christmas at Essex Care Group is no different.
In recent years, however, the UK has become more and more conscious of those among us who may not share in these precious ties to family and community. This conversation has been particularly focused on the elderly as a result of research and anecdotal evidence. For example, in 2018, research conducted by Age UK found that half a million over 65s felt lonely at Christmas, and last year, in 2020, 1.7 million over 65s spent Christmas Day alone as a result of the pandemic.
Sadly, many over 65s lack either the mobility or the transport connections necessary to partake in Christmas festivities. This is an issue that other sectors of the population faced last Christmas in 2020 after Tier 4 Covid-19 restrictions banned travel and household mixing. As such, we are all in a better position to understand the perspective of those over 65s who might be feeling lonely this Christmas.
This Christmas at TheCare Group, we are here for those who need care and access to the community. Our range of in-home care services are designed for those who need a helping hand getting out there and connecting with others. With the possibility of reconnecting with friends and family this Christmas, we are more excited than ever about providing these services to our customers. We don’t believe that anyone should feel lonely this festive season, so from all of us here at Essex Care Group, Merry Christmas!
At Essex Care Group, we aim to support the people we work with to live their lives, their way, to realise their potential, whatever their impairment or disability. We design our services to be as individual as you are, from short-term support following an illness to long-term or permanent support.
We can also help you manage your medication routine or support you whilst you get used to being back at home after a stay in hospital. To find out more, visit our website on www.essexcaregroup.co.uk, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call on 01206 489 542.
