Reflection on the year

December not only marks the end of 2020, an incredibly trying year for most people, it also marks Essex Care Group’s first birthday! Which under normal circumstances would of been a great celebration.
The first year of any new business can be hard, but despite the wealth of knowledge and experience within the team, no one could of anticipated what a tough first year it would be.
We are incredibly proud to have been able to not only maintain our care delivery throughout 2020, despite the additional strains of working through a pandemic, but also to increase our capacity, enabling us to provide additional care to those most in need within our local community without compromising on our care standards.
We are also very pleased to report that to date, we have not had any reported cases of Covid-19 in any of our staff or service users, something we feel is a huge achievement, given the rapid spread in the local area over the past month. Of course the battle is not over, and we as a company will continue to follow stringent infection prevention and control measures, as well as adhering to government guidelines in order to help protect our service users and our local community.
Without a doubt, none of this would of been possible without our amazing team of staff, who have worked tirelessly throughout the various levels of restrictions in order to make sure we can fulfil our care obligations. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of them for all their hard work and dedication, in what has been an unprecedented year of challenges within the industry.
Finally I would like to thank you all for your support during our first year, and whilst we look forward to the year ahead, I’d like to wish you a happy and safe New Year.
